We’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer for a client in the fintech industry. AI is becoming the core of their product (chatbots, document intelligence, agentic workflows) and they are looking for an experienced engineer to help build it out.
Stack: TypeScript, Effect, AI SDK, Drizzle, Next.js / TanStack, Postgres, AWS + Azure
What you’ll build
- Agentic workflow engine for tax processes (documents, deadlines, client comms)
- Document intelligence: extraction, classification, and analysis of tax docs (P&L, receipts, platform exports)
- RAG, context and prompt engineering
- Tax platform API integration with semantic processing of financial data
- Real-time financial features (P&L analysis, liquidity planning, KPI dashboards)
Must-have
- 3+ years TypeScript
- Production LLM integration
- Solid grasp of RAG and context engineering
- AI/agentic frameworks (AI SDK or similar)
- Strong backend: database design, microservices, infrastructure
- Comfortable in early-stage product environments
Nice to have
- Tax/accounting context (chart of accounts, P&L structure)
- Document parsing (PDFs, OCR, table extraction)
- Model training
How we work
Small team, direct communication, no long approval chains. You work closely with product and the founders, so your decisions ship. Remote-first, occasional in-person.
